Welcome to Funny Cats

Kittens are probably the most fun creatures you can play with, and there is nothing as cute as seeing two of them playing together. But, are they playing or fighting? How do you tell the difference?
First of all, no one knows your cats better than you, right? So if their “play” looks a little bit to rough to you it’s better to stop it. That way you’re stopping your pet cats from hurting each other by preventing bite and scratch wounds and wound infections.
Cat play involves a lot of chasing, hissing, swatting and nipping so to humans it usually looks a little bit rough. But if hissing continues and meows turn to screaming you know you are about to witness a catfight. Also if one of the cats is overly dominant it’s a cat fight. In case of a catfight the best thing to do is distract them with noise or their usual food call or, and I know this probably sounds a little bit to much but it’s what most vets suggest, you can spray them with little water.
One thing you shouldn’t do is physically remove one cat from another because they may turn on you. I found this out the hard way, and now I have a few scars to remind me what not to do next time, thanks to one of my pet cats.
